Life-Changing Support During Time of Significant Need
Our Build Ministry is designed to provide life-changing support during times of significant need. To ensure we’re serving those most impacted, all requests for help must come through a nomination rather than self-application.
This process allows us to hear directly from people who know the recipient’s story and can speak to their needs. Priority will be given to those experiencing a life-changing event such as job loss, medical crisis, natural disaster, or major family transition.
Please note our ministry is not designed to be an ongoing assistance program, but rather our goal is to step in during a critical moment and help recipients get back on their feet.
If the recipient has school-aged children, please connect with the children’s school social worker for help with the nomination process.
Requirements for Assistance:
Recipients must meet all four of the following requirements to be considered for assistance.
Recipient must be a Johnston County resident.
Recipient has not received prior assistance from OneCompassion in the past 12 months.
Priority is given to those experiencing a life-changing event (e.g., job loss, medical crisis, natural disaster, major transition).
Form must be filled out by a non-family reference (examples include school social workers, church friends, coworkers, etc.).
