What to Expect at OC Fest!
We're gearing up for one of our most favorite events of the year, our Christian Music Festival that we call OC Fest. OC Fest is held right in the heart of Downtown Clayton North Carolina in Town Square, the perfect central location for everyone in Johnston County. Every year we invite Christ-centered artists to perform for our community and spend the afternoon fellowshipping togther.
This year, we are BLESSED with an amazing line up! Headlining this year is Cochran and Co with special guest Riley Clemmons. We also have HopeFront Music and North Bound Worship coming back to open for another year. We cannot WAIT!
If you're considering attending this year, we thought it would be fun to answer the most common questions we receive about this years festival! (And in full transparency, we hope by the end of this blog we'll have you signed up to come if you haven't already 😍)
Q: What is OC Fest?
A: OC Fest is a Christian Music Festival hosted by us here at OneCompassion. It's essentially an afternoon of fun family time with live music, games and activities, good food, and fellowship. It's our way of giving back to the community in hopes it will inspire togetherness with your fellow neighbor.
Q: How much is it to attend?
A: This event is FREE! It's open to anyone that wants to come and we would LOVE and be honored to have you there. We do have tickets that you can reserve here so we can keep track of how many attendees will singing a long with us 🎶🎵 On the website, there is an option to give a small donation which goes towards our Holiday Ministry. (more on that later!)
Q: Will there be any food or drinks?
A: Of COURSE! What kind of festival would this be without good food? 😜 We have a roundup of food trucks that will be in attendance like Poblanos Tacos, Bare Baked Pizza, Mac Daddy’s, and The Flat Drum. (Our mouths are already watering!) We’ll also have Naha Brews serving up delicious crafted coffee’s and Mama B’s Bakehouse will be there with some great dessert. More vendor announcements to come on our social media pages!
Q: Will there be activities to entertain my children?
Absolutely! We have a fun time planned for kids of all ages like face painting, crafts, and games!
Q: What is the parking situation like in Downtown Clayton?
A: There are plenty of spaces to park in downtown on Mainstreet and the blocks surrounding it. We are confident you'll be able to find a good spot within walking distance!
Q: Where do the proceeds of this event go?
A: The proceeds of OC Fest will go to our Holiday Ministry that provides families in our area relief for Christmas and Back to School seasons. We just finished our Christmas in July Ministry that provided these families with back to school supplies, new clothing, and snacks to get them ready and prepared for the new school year. Each bin was prayed over, hand packed and folded, and delivered to each family of the 200++ kids we assisted this year. We do something similar for the Holiday season around Christmas time, providing in need families with toys and clothing and food. The more we raise for this important ministry, the more we can help and show God's love in our community. While we certainly appreciate any donations, we would be humbled to have your prayers towards the families and over our team for this as well.
